Munnar- The Hill Station of Kerala

Munnar is a hill station located in the district of Idukki in the southwestern state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at an altitude of 5200 feet above sea level(1600 meters). It is located in the western ghats mountain range. It is also known as Kashmir of south India. Famous for its tea states exotic lush greenery and craggy peaks located in the Western Ghats in the state of Kerala. Munnar is home to endangered species like the Neelgiri thar and the Neela kurinji. The Ernakulam national park And Salim Ali bird sanctuary are its major attraction.one can also see the highest peak of western ghats of South India Anamudi peak(2695 meter).
